“Just being in the ocean makes me happy. Overall I am loving it”.
Biography
Born and bred in Torquay Zeb grew up surfing and board paddling. He started surfing when at 3 years old down at Cosy corner, a little beach in Torquay where all the local kids start out. He began surfing in comp’s when he was 11 with mate Jack Perry. After some success in the pro-junior series Zeb quickly learnt he was “over the comp thing” But continued surf club races up to this day.
Between the ages of 17 and 24 he spent seven years in QLD training with Gold Coast Surf Life Saving Clubs including Southport, Tugan and Northcliffe between. He now lives back in Jan Juc with his partner and their beautiful one-year-old daughter. Zeb is a perfect fit working at Patagonia Torquay as Board Manager.
“I have been a surfer and paddler pretty much my whole life. I have started doing the longer open water races now like Molokai. I love that feeling of being so small in the whole ocean and just under your own power with only a board under you, and it help with the other thing I love which is surfing big waves.”
