Key Features & Benefits

In a nutshell… the argument for Patagonia wetsuits:

  • Our cool to cold water wetsuits are fully lined with soft, chlorine-free merino wool for warmth, comfort, ease of paddling and environmental sensitivity.
  • Double neck gaskets (internal/external) minimise flushing and are reinforced at the shoulders for durability
  • Front yokes are overlapped for easy on/off (front-zip only).
  • Seams are single-needle blind-stitched on the outside using nylon-bonded thread and are triple glued for extra durability and strength. Crotch seams are taped inside and critical seams are stitched, glued, reinforced and taped.
  • Critical areas are faced with nylon and recycled polyester for greater flex and durability. Underarms are double-faced with nylon for flexibility.
  • Back-zips (see 1 in image below) have crescent shaped neoprene panels along closure for easier zip-up and a better seal. Zipper gusset have drain holes.
  • Panels and Seams (see 2 in image below) are strategically placed to make paddling easy.
  • Durable Supratex cuffs (see 3 in image below) at wrists and ankles minimise flushing and resist tearing. They are reinforced with bar tacks and a polyurethane tab.
  • Seams at the back of the knee (see 4 in image below) are eliminated for better comfort and flex while swimming and bodysurfing.
  • Anatomically engineered knee-pads (see 5 in image below) are made with strong and stretchy Supratex instead of stiffer, environmentally harmful PVC.
