Facing extinction

I strike for
climate action

I moved from Lincolnshire to London and started experiencing some really bad health complications. I live in one of the most polluted boroughs in London, and it’s gotten to the point that it’s no longer healthy to breathe the air. But you can’t just not breathe. I can't just sit and say nothing. I protest because if we don't do something now, it will all be over. I have to make sure people will be held accountable for this.

Our generation has the kind of imagination needed to dream up better futures and the energy to fight to make it happen, rather than focusing on what can be accomplished under the status quo. We need everyone to support our protests and our strikes. We need people to tell the truth about the climate crisis, and we need to put laws in that will protect people. We need everyone to get out and start acting. We need everyone to be proactive in their democracy. We need everyone to say the standards now are just not good enough for us anymore, and we deserve better.

We are a community. We are not just individual countries. We are a world, and the only way we'll fix this is if we work as a world.
