Nuclear wind, freezing rain, sideways-blowing sleet: Our new Micro Puff® Storm Jacket provides a packable solution. Its futuristic, down-like PlumaFill synthetic insulation traps your heat while the ultralight-yet-durable 2-layer windproof, waterproof/breathable H2No® Performance Standard shell ensures protection against the most ferocious elements. Key details include an alpine helmet-compatible hood with a snugging front gasket and single-pull adjustment, double front zipper sliders (allowing access to your belay device), elasticized internal mini snow skirt, two stretch-mesh internal drop-in pockets, and a pair of waterproof-zippered high-volume handwarmer pockets that are made of highly breathable mesh to double as vents. Plus, self-fabric hook-and-loop cuff closures, and an engineered pattern featuring a seamless shoulder design. The DWR (durable water repellent) finish tops off the protection. Slightly oversized for belay parka duty.

Materials

H2No® Performance Standard shell: 2-layer, 1.7-oz 12-denier 100% nylon ripstop with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Lining: 0.7-oz 10-denier 100% nylon ripstop Pertex Quantum® with a DWR finish.

Insulation: 65-g PlumaFill 100% polyester

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Weatherproof

2.5-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof, breathable and highly packable for backpacking, alpine climbing and backcountry skiing. They combine a water-repellent shell fabric with a waterproof/breathable membrane and a protective top coat barrier without needing a protective lining fabric. A raised print layer is applied to decreased layering friction and increase moisture management.

2.5-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

All products bearing the H2No mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our 24 Killer Wash.
