Though each Patagonia® product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, we can generalize our fit descriptions in four ways:

Formfitting

Conforms to the body's contours.

Slim Fit

Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

Regular Fit

Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.

Relaxed Fit

Drapes loosely on the body.


Measurements refer to body size, not garment dimensions.

Sleeve
With elbow bent, measure from the centre (back) of neck to elbow and down to wrist.
Chest/Bust
Measure around your chest/bust, just under armpit.
Waist
Measure around your waist at the smallest circumference.
Hips
Stand, feet together, and measure around the largest circumference at the hips.
Hands
Measure around the fullest part of the hand, not including thumb.
Inseam
Take a pair of pants that fit well and measure from the crotch to bottom of leg. All pants come with a finished hem.

  • Our Patagonia® Women’s Barely Baggies™ Shorts - 2½\ have a low rise, a shorter inseam and are made of 100% recycled nylon
The Barely Baggies™ Shorts have a lower rise and a shorter inseam than our classic Baggies, with side slits at the hem for comfort. They're built of NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon faille made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution; with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS. Inseam length is 2_", and there's a P-6 logo at the left hem. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
